Company owner, Dr. Soman Pillai, speaks to us about the firm. With more than 43 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Engineering, and Project Management, Dr. Soman Pillai started his own engineering services companies, Smart Tech, in UAE, Oman, India and Kuwait after retiring from Shell Services. He tells us more about Smart Tech, its cores values, staff culture and what it is that makes it so successful. “Our mission is to be a leader in the Oil & Gas Engineering business, with investment in advanced technology, equipment and people. Also, it is to provide products and services that ensure high standards of customer satisfaction through well-established systems and management parties. “My major techniques and focusses within the organisation are to improve the business and staff competency in order to continue provide training and coaching. I have a friendly approach to my staff and clients, and I manage high levels of quality in Technical and HSSE.
