We will have a licensed ‘Container Freight Station’ to handle Import, Export and vessel container transitions, from this site. There will be sufficient space and equipment to accommodate 2,600 TEU’s, along with a temperature controlled Warehouse to accommodate up to 12,000 racked pallet positions. The Bonded site is approximately 1 km from the NDC. Stage 3 , is scheduled for GoLive in Q1 2021 and will consist of a fully functioning, energy efficient cold store facility, to accommodate temperature ranges from -28 to +18 Celsius. There will be temperature dedicated chambers as well as ‘flexible’ temperature chambers to accommodate any storage temperature needs. The facility is adjacent to the existing NDC (adjoining property) and will provide cold store services for our existing cold network as well as, new 3PL and expanded portfolio opportunities. From Stage 1, BCo will reach a leadership position in Supply Chain capabilities in the KSA. Stages 2 & 3 will simply strengthen that position and enable BCo to reach the supply chain leadership position, in the GCC. Our vision is to provide our Principals an accurate and efficient supply chain, which will enable goods to be moved from Vessel to Store Shelf in over 30,000 retail outlets in the KSA, within 15 days. Our KAEC and existing BCo supply chain will have this capability. Our future ‘look ahead’ is very positive, in fact BCo is quite excited about our plans to approach this...our Customers’ needs are constantly changing... to meet those needs. We must be agile, efficient, accurate and fast, in every order we process. We are structuring ourselves to be able to deliver these needs, in a way that is a ‘win win’ for both parties. Our goal is to sustain 99.5% fulfilment of all orders. In fact we are developing processes in a ‘pro-active’ manner to provide ways to improve supply chain cost and efficiency for our downstream Customers, ahead of their requests. To name a few: • Reduce ‘touches’ • Pre-assemble PO’s to enable Customer cross-docking at their DC • In-house co-packing • 24hr operation • ‘Night-time’ back door delivery to avoid traffic and customer congestion • Customer portals to enable ‘live’ visibility of order status, are just a few of the initiatives There is no doubt, supply chain costs are increasing and will continue to do so. We have a very positive approach to this and are striving to ‘reduce’ costs and touches within the supply chain, with that in mind we have already implemented a WMS to provide efficiencies in how we handle goods. Now we are moving into automation to reach an even higher level of efficiency & accuracy. There are 3 basic fundamentals that every Customer wants from a supplier...speed, accuracy & cost efficiency...this is the foundation of our future. We are investing in this capability and plan to excel in each of these, beyond our ‘Customers’ expectations.
