Founding Partner and CEO Jenny Hunt talks us through the firmand the solutions it provides. Founded in 2014, Gateway was set up to help foreign companies after the founding partner’s experience of doing business in Abu Dhabi regularly connected her with companies that had set up incorrectly; had been given incorrect advice; were struggling to understand conflicting/ out of date information; and, were struggling to navigate the regulations and processes of setting up here. As such, since inception Gateway’s approach has been to share information about setting up and doing business in Abu Dhabi so that companies can make informed decisions that are right for their business and really understand what they are getting involved with. Jenny discusses the firm’s success over the last four years and how it works to ensure excellence for every client it supports through its unique approach. “In a new country it can be daunting opening a new UA180009 business, finding the right information, understanding the regulations and processes. It takes time and can be very confusing. It is a massive commitment, it is stressful, everyone wants to ensure that they have control and are working with reliable people. As such, I set up Gateway to identify with the anxieties that foreign companies have when entering the UAE market. We take care of the business setup so they can focus on developing their business. Gateway provides company formation guidance and implementation along with a corporate local sponsorship platform. We help multinationals expand into Abu Dhabi by having full control of their business, compliance with their corporate governance requirements and a planned exit strategy for the future. “Additionally, we also provide day-to-day support services such as visas and trade license renewals. Our client base is cross-sector, typically medium- sized entities and upwards, which are operational in a number of overseas markets and value what Gateway stands for and can provide to them in terms of a professional, long-lasting relationship with their best interests at heart. Trust, honesty and integrity are paramount to everything that we do. As such, our approach is to really get to know our clients and understand what they want to achieve. We then act as an extension of their team with constant communications to keep them updated throughout assignments. This, combined with our extensive knowledge of processes and on-the-ground experience enables us to provide speedy support, so that our clients can focus on their business.” Drawing on her experience in the UAE corporate market, Jenny understands the challenges her clients face and is able to support them to ensure that they remain successful.
