Q4 2019

6 MEA MARKETS / Q4 2019 , Apr19502 Delivering World-Class Language Experiences LETA Professional Training and Services (PTY) LTD is composed of diligent professionals that offer complete services in teaching Communication Skills and English language. Following their recent success inMEAMarkets’ African Excellence Awards 2019, we profiled the firm and caught up with Founder, Precious Zeinzinger-Tuitz who showcased the innerworkings of the award-winning company. Founded in 2009 by Precious Zeinzinger- Tuitz in Vienna, Austria, LETA is a privately-owned professional training institute providing a complete programme of services for businesses, academics, individuals and English courses in South Africa. In late 2016, LETA opened an office in Johannesburg South Africa, which focusses on providing complete programs of both Communication and English language. The courses provided by LETA have been designed and created in accordance with the levels and specialisations of the groups of learning or individuals. In order to fully cater to the individual needs of the client, LETA has devised a strategy to help them, as Precious explains. “LETA offers a unique opportunity for the English language ‘in the workplace’ assessments and language courses tailored to the company’s organisation. Through this service, an expert LETA English language trainer commutes to the client’s own workplace/institution, and through observation and evaluation of staff, LETA, in partnership with the organisation, determines the areas of English language improvement required. Following this consultation, English classes are then delivered to staff by the LETA English language trainer focusing on the highlighted needs.” Over the years, LETA has offered trainers a professional environment, which allows them to devise their own lesson plans whilst liaising with the client and the management staff. Subsequently, these lesson plans are also endorsed and approved by LETA Management before the commencement of the course. In addition to this, the firm provides updated course materials and training to teachers to ensure that they are up to standard. Today, LETA has accumulated a strong network of individuals who work tirelessly to ensure that an outstanding service is delivered to clients every time. When discussing the internal culture, Precious is keen to highlight the significant role the team play in the overall success of the firm, and how LETA attracts the very best talent within the dynamic industry. “Here at LETA, our team shares ideas to ensure that they are able to produce engaging and innovative lessons. We attract the best staff by demonstrating professionalism, providing a safe and secure environment, and making sure our team is remunerated accordingly. Additionally, by providing flexible working hours, it provides our teachers with more personal freedom. Most importantly, respect towards one another is also vital and treating trainers as senior managers offers them a sense of responsibility and accountability.” Key to the company’s ongoing success is their unique offering that focuses on fostering effective and, crucially, mindful communication. “Apart from hiring adept, certified English language trainers to guarantee high-quality courses, LETA strictly adheres to the international standards of teaching English, such as the CEFR, the Common European Framework of Languages. Further, LETA has extensive experience of having operated overseas and dealing with different cultures too. Considering all of this, LETA effectively caters to national and international clients alike. Further, LETA has partnered with other businesses complementing its products, by offering and incorporating Behaviour Sciences and brain language. By providing such a bespoke programme, professionals are not only equipped with English verbal, reading, writing and listing skills, but also behaviour and body language awareness.” Essentially, LETA goes above and beyond in equipping their clients with the best possible skills that serve to differentiate them – and the company as a whole- on an ever- competitive landscape. Ultimately, the team at LETA hope to further expand the business, their presence and the services they provide in the years to come. Bringing the interview to a close, Precious signs off by revealing some of the exciting plans which lie in the pipeline for the firm, touching on how they hope to provide more opportunities for individuals in South Africa. “Due to the size of Johannesburg, LETA is currently working on a franchise model. This will enable more students to access classes, who do not live in Johannesburg. Furthermore, on account of the current high unemployment rate, franchising opportunities would provide more people with the opportunity to be employed. “As for the comprehensive offerings of LETA courses, teachers can choose if they would prefer to offer an ESL Early Childhood Programme, General, Corporate classes, or all of the classes. Furthermore, opportunities such as English and sightseeing in cooperation with tour travel agencies would also be available for teachers to explore.” To date, LETA has already conducted a few of these classes as mini pilot projects, and will continue to do so going forward, as they continue to deliver an exceptional service in the years to come.
